In September this year I started a PhD at King's College London funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council. Since I finished my MA dissertation, a practical exploration of the role of the translator in translating journalism across national boundaries, I have been keen to research the topic further and now, after 5 years working in the translation industry, I am delighted to have begun this research project.

Oscars 2012: An historic year for French cinema
Winner of five awards including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor, The Artist has made the 2012 Oscars an historic year for France, the first non-Anglo-Saxon country to win the Oscar for Best Film.
